Alexandru Buligan Tomici (born April 22, 1960 in Drobeta Turnu Severin ) is a former Romanian handball player and current coach.

The 2.00 m tall goalkeeper began playing handball in his hometown at CSS Drobeta Turnu Severin. At the age of 17 he made his debut in the Romanian league at CSU Politehnica Timișoara, where he won the cup in 1986. His second stop was CS Dinamo Bucharest. In 1990 he moved to the Spanish league ASOBAL to JD Arrate and later to BM Guadalajara . In 1999, he suffered a car accident that nearly ended his career. His longest and most successful station was at Portland San Antonio , where he won the EHF Champions League in 2001, the Spanish Championship in 2002, 1999 and 2001, the Cup , the EHF Champions Trophy 2000 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2001. After retiring in 2002, he worked as a goalkeeper and assistant coach in San Antonio. Since 2010 he has been an assistant trainer at HCM Constanța in Romania.

With the Romanian national team , the 280-time national goalkeeper won the bronze medal at the 1984 Olympic Games and took part in the 1992 Olympic Games . At the 1993 World Cup , he again achieved bronze.

Alexandru Buligan is a mechanical engineer and married.
