Alexandru Pavel Pelici (born January 10, 1974 in Timișoara ) is a former Romanian football player and current coach . As a player, he was mainly active in defense.

Life

Paul Alexander Pelic was born in Timișoara on January 10, 1974. He graduated from the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education Universitatea de Vest . He has a wife and is a father. He is also very interested in music.

Football career

In 1987 Alexandru Pelici began his career as a football player at the age of thirteen in the Progresul Timișoara team. He played in League II when he was sixteen . Until 1999 he was central defender at FC Politehnica Timișoara . In 1999 he went to CSM Școlar Reșița , where he stayed until 2001. At the age of 28 he was with Unirea Alba Iulia . Due to repeated injuries to his knee, he left the club in 2005.

Coach years

Alexandru Pelici is considered to be the youngest football coach in Romania. He was the coach of a number of clubs.

In 2003 he started as a coach at Unirea Alba Iulia , where he was also a soccer player. In 2004 he left the club as a coach and from 2005 only trained the club CSM Școlar Reșița , where he also played earlier as a football player, and was no longer a player. After two years he moved to Forex Brașov , where he stayed for a year and then coached the Arieșul Turda club. From 2009 to 2010 he was again coach of the CSM Școlar Reșița club and from 2010 to 2012 of CSU Voința Sibiu . In 2012 he briefly coached the clubs ASA Târgu Mureș and again CSU Voința Sibiu. In 2013 he coached the clubs CSM Râmnicu Vâlcea , CSM Metalul Reșița and FC Brașov until he coached FC Bihor Oradea until 2014 .

From November 2014 to April 2016 he coached the CSM Râmnicu Vâlcea club , which he had already coached in 2013. From July 2016 to April 2017 he was the head coach of CS Mioveni . There he was discharged lying in 5th place. In summer 2017 he took over FC Hermannstadt in Liga II. There he led his team to promotion in the 2017/18 season . He left the club after the eleventh matchday of the 2018/19 season. Since November 2018 he has looked after Ripensia Timișoara in Liga II.
