Alexei Alexandrovich Obmochaev ( Russian Алексей Александрович Обмочаев , English transcription: Alexey Alexandrovich Obmochaev ; born May 22, 1989 in Kislovodsk ) is a Russian volleyball player .

Career

Obmochayev began his career in a club in his hometown. In 2007 he came to Neftechimik Salawat . A year later he was committed by VK Zenit-Kazan and used in the second team. At the European Youth Championships, the Libero reached third place with the Russian offspring. In the 2009/10 season Obmochayev played for Dynamo-Yantar Kaliningrad . He then returned to Kazan and advanced to the first division team. In 2011 the club became Russian champions and only lost in the Champions League in the final. After winning the Universiade , Obmochayev made his debut on November 20, 2011 in the senior national team , with which he immediately won the World Cup . In 2012 Kazan managed to defend its title in the league and this time the Russians won the final against Skra Bełchatów in the Champions League . At the Olympic Games in London Obmochayev won the gold medal with the national team. In 2013, Obmochayev moved to league rivals Dynamo Moscow .

Private

Obmochayev was married to the Russian national player Natalija Olegovna Goncharova from 2012 to 2016 .
