Alexei Viktorovich Volgin ( Russian Алексей Викторович Волгин ; born January 21, 1968 in Vladimir , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian ultra marathon runner and world champion in the 100 km road run from 1994.

Career

Wolgin won the Saroma Lake 100 km ultramarathon along Lake Saroma, Japan on June 26, 1994 in 6:22:43 hours in 1994. On September 16, 1995 Wolgin finished second at the Run Winschoten in the Netherlands . In Winschoten in 1995 he also took third place in the 50 km road race.

Wolgin is married to the marathon runner Natalja Wolgina .
