Alexei Vsevolodowitsch Malashenko ( Russian Алексей Всеволодович Малашенко , born February 2, 1951 in Moscow ) is a Russian political scientist .

Malashenko was a professor at the Moscow State Institute for International Relations from 2000 to 2006 and was also a member of the Scientific Council of the Moscow Carnegie Center. Before that, he was an expert in oriental studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences. He is currently Research Director of the Dialogue of Civilizations Institute in Moscow.
