Theodor Richter (politician)

Theodor Richter (born December 20, 1849 in Görlitz , † June 6, 1917 in Großschönau ) was a Saxon factory owner and member of the state parliament ( National Liberal Party ).

The son of Karl Heinrich (1818–1864), a distiller and merchant in Görlitz, bought the company "Proelß sel. Sons", founded in 1864, together with Richard Goldberg. This company developed into one of the leading commercial enterprises in the Upper Lusatian textile industry. Theodor Richter was elected in 1895 in the 2nd rural constituency as a member of the second chamber of the Saxon state parliament for the National Liberals. From 1891 he was a member and from 1911 Vice President of the Zittau Chamber of Commerce. In 1904 Richter was appointed to the Commerce Council and from at least 1908 he was represented on the board of the National National Association. Theodor Richter left the Saxon state parliament in 1909.
