Alfons Ferdynand Kropiwnicki
Alfons Ferdynand Kropiwnicki (born January 29, 1803 , † June 25, 1881 ) was a Polish builder and architect who mainly worked in Warsaw and represented a late classicist , sometimes also eclectic style.
Life
Kropiwnicki graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Warsaw University . In 1926 he received the patent of a freelance builder in the Kingdom of Poland . Under the direction of Antonio Corazzi , he was involved in the construction of the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw. From 1835 he worked with the city architect Józef Grzegorz Lessel . In 1841 he and Jan Jakub Gay built the Gościnny Dwór bazaar hall, which is based on an iron structure . From 1843 Kropiwnicki was a builder for the city of Warsaw. In 1847 he was ennobled (coat of arms of the Sas).
