Alfons Schöberl
Alfons Schöberl (born July 12, 1903 in Würzburg , † August 11, 1994 in Hanover ) was a German chemist .
Life
Alfons Schöberl took after high school , a study of chemistry at the University of Wuerzburg in which he 1929 with the promotion graduated. After Alfons Schöberl - he was a student of Otto Dimroth - had completed his habilitation there in 1933 , he was appointed private lecturer in 1935 and as an adjunct professor in 1943 .
In 1950, Alfons Schöberl accepted the chair for chemistry at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover , which he held until he retired in 1971. In addition, from April 1, 1961 to March 31, 1963 he was the rector's office . Schöberl also held an honorary professorship at the Technical University of Hanover .
Schöberl's work, especially in the field of organic sulfur compounds, has been widely accepted in the standard veterinary medicine literature , for example with the development of the active ingredient xylazine . In addition to articles for compilations, Alfons Schöberl wrote around 200 articles for specialist journals .
At the time of National Socialism , he joined the NSDAP in 1933 . At the Nazi Association of German Technology he was Gausachwalter chemistry. Schöberl was awarded the Golden Badge of Honor of the Association of German Dyers in 1941 .
