Alfons Senz

Alfons Senz (* 15. October 1924 in Illingen (Saar) ; † 18th October 2010 ) was a German politician of the CDU .

Senz studied law and worked in the private sector after passing the state examination in law. Later he worked in the state parliament of Saarland and was appointed government director. In 1966 he became head of the Illingen office , after the regional reform he was elected the first mayor of the new Illingen (Saar) municipality, he held this office until 1976 and during this time also sat for the gas works and pond headquarters, the planning association and the wastewater association Illingen before. From 1970 to 1975 he was a member of the Saarland state parliament, where he was chairman of the committee for constitutional and legal questions and the committee of inquiry into Saar-Bau-Union AG .

Senz belonged to the Kolping family Illingen and the Illingen theater association. On his initiative, many projects arose in the community, including the founding of the Illtalgymnasium . He was buried in the Illingen cemetery three days after his death.
