Alfred Börner
Alfred Börner (born March 20, 1926 in Hof ; † July 29, 2009 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).
Börner attended elementary school and commercial vocational school. He then became an administrative apprentice at the Deutsche Reichsbahn . For many years he was union leader as chairman of the staff council at Hof Hauptbahnhof train station and as chairman of the Hof local administration of the German railway workers' union .
Börner was a member of Hof's city council for over 20 years and a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 1962 to 1986 , at times directly elected to the Hof constituency .
