Alfred Bammesberger

Alfred Bammesberger (born September 25, 1938 in Munich ) is professor emeritus for English and Comparative Linguistics at the Catholic University of Eichstätt .

He is the author of over 25 academic books and numerous articles on historical linguistics with a focus on Indo-European , Old German , English and Baltic studies . Bammesberger is also editor of the journals " Historische Sprachforschung " and "Onomasiology Online". He is an external member of the Polska Akademia Umiejętności in Krakow .
