Alfred Berger (mathematician)
Alfred Berger (born February 16, 1882 in Brno , † March 10, 1942 in Vienna ) was an actuary .
Alfred Berger studied mathematics and physics at the universities of Munich , Vienna and Göttingen between 1901 and 1906 and was awarded a doctorate in 1906 by Wilhelm Wirtinger in Vienna. phil. PhD.
From 1928 he taught as a private lecturer for mathematics in private insurance and mathematical statistics at the University of Vienna. In 1933 he was appointed associate professor there.
