Alfred Danzer
Alfred Dänzer (born March 28, 1948 ) is a German lobbyist and financial expert in the healthcare sector . From 2012 to 2014 he was President of the Deutsche Krankenhausgesellschaft e. V. (DKG) and from 2009 to 2014 spokesman for the management of the University Hospital Mannheim .
Life
After graduating from secondary school in Mannheim in 1964, Dänzer began a five-year training course to become a graduate in administration. In 1971 he started working at the University Hospital Mannheim, and in 1997 he became deputy managing director. In 2005 he became managing director as the successor to Wolfgang Pföhler , who had switched to Rhön Klinikum AG . Since 2009 he has also been the management spokesman. On October 22, 2014, he resigned as Managing Director of the Mannheim University Hospital on November 28, 2014 as a result of the “hygiene scandal”.
From 2010 to 2011 he was Vice President of the Deutsche Krankenhausgesellschaft e. V , its President from 2012 to 2014. He succeeded Rudolf Koester in this function.
