Alfred Hagn (born February 18, 1948 in Fischbachau ; † April 11, 2020 ) was a German ski racer .

biography

He was German champion in slalom in 1968 , downhill in 1970 and giant slalom in 1972. On January 2, 1972, he won the slalom at the “3. International Salzach Valley Ski Week ”in Mittersill . At the Olympic Games in Grenoble in 1968 , he finished 16th in slalom . His greatest success was the fourth place in the giant slalom at the Olympic Games in Sapporo in 1972 , whereby he was even in second place after the first run. In the 1971/72 season , Hagn was among the top ten fastest in six races in the World Cup . He announced his resignation in April 1976. After finishing his career, he worked as a hotelier at Tegernsee , later as manager of the Possendorf golf course near Dresden.
