Alfred Neukomm (born January 9, 1945 ; resident in Hallau ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Neukomm was executive secretary of the Foundation for Consumer Protection from 1967 to 1984 , from 1970 to 1979 Grand Councilor of the Canton of Bern and from 1979 to 1991 National Councilor . From 1985 he was a councilor for the city of Bern and headed the management of the municipal operations. In 2000 he decided not to run again. As a member of the municipal council, Neukomm presided over the administrative boards of Städtische Verkehrsbetriebe (SVB) and Gurtenbahn Bern AG , and was vice-chairman of the administrative boards of Kraftwerke Oberhasli AG , Kraftwerk Sanetsch AG , Gasverbund Mittelland AG and Wasserverbund Region Bern AG. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Kernkraftwerk Gösgen AG and the Board of Directors of Regionalverkehr Bern-Solothurn (RBS).

From 2013 to 2016 he was mayor of Hallau.
