Alfred Reisinger

Alfred Reisinger (born February 4, 1949 in Straubing ) is a German politician ( CSU ). From 2002 to 2014 he was District Administrator of the Straubing-Bogen district in Lower Bavaria .

After completing secondary school, he joined the local administration at the Straubing-Bogen district office. By 1977 he completed his degree in administrative management (FH) at the Bavarian Civil Service College. For many years he worked as an economic and tourism advisor at the Straubing-Bogen district.

Political career

From 1984 to 2002 he was a member of the Aiterhofen municipal council and from 1996 to 2002 a member of the Straubing-Bogen district council. In 1994, Alfred Reisinger moved to the Bavarian State Parliament as a direct member of the Straubing constituency and was a member of the Committee for Local Affairs and Internal Security as well as the Committee for State Development and Environmental Issues. On March 3, 2002 Reisinger was elected to the district administrator of the Straubing-Bogen district with 68.2 percent of the valid votes with three opposing candidates. On May 1, 2002, he took up this position. In 2008 Reisinger was confirmed in office with 72.72%. In 2014 he could not apply again because of the age limit of 65 years.

Alfred Reisinger was a member of the 13th Federal Assembly for the election of the German Federal President on May 23, 2009.
