Alfred Ruete

Alfred E. Ruete (born January 28, 1882 in Hamburg , † April 14, 1951 in Marburg ) was a German dermatologist and university professor .

He studied medicine until 1907 in Heidelberg, Freiburg, Munich and Strasbourg and received his doctorate at the University of Strasbourg in 1907. In 1922 he was appointed personal ord. Appointed professor for skin and venereal diseases at the University of Marburg . He was Dean of the Medical Faculty of the University of Marburg in the winter semester of 1930/31 and from 1935 director of the Institute for Skin and Venereal Diseases at the University of Marburg. He was dismissed on September 28, 1945, reinstated in the winter semester 1945 and resumed teaching from the winter semester 1948/49. He retired in SS 1949, but remained provisional director of the Dermatology Clinic at the University of Marburg. In November 1933 he signed the professors' declaration of Adolf Hitler at German universities and colleges .
