Alfred Ursinus

Alfred Ursinus (born October 10, 1880 in Weißenfels , † April 15, 1966 ) was a German author , Protestant theologian , philosopher and senior teacher .

Life

Ursinus was born in Weißenfels an der Saale in 1880 and attended the teachers' seminar there until the first teacher examination was taken. Ursinus later took his high school diploma and studied philology , philosophy and theology. He then worked as a senior teacher at the royal teachers' college in Quedlinburg until 1914 . During this time Ursinus wrote his much-noticed work “ Introduction to the Apostolicum ”, which initially only appeared as his doctoral thesis. From 1915 to 1925 he was the director of the Royal Prussian Seminary ( Ludwig-Meyn-Gymnasium ) in Uetersenactive and then head of the advanced school in Uetersen. This was followed by employment as a senior teacher at the Theodor Mommsen School (grammar school) in Bad Oldesloe .
