Alfred zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck

Prince Alfred Joseph Klemens zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck (born May 31, 1811 at Baindt Castle , † August 2, 1888 at Dyck Castle ) was a Prussian crown official and member of the Salm-Reifferscheidt family .

Life

Born as the son of Prince Franz Joseph August zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck, Alfred zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck studied at the University of Bonn . In 1833 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . He became royal Prussian Crown-Colonel-Marshal and hereditary member of the Prussian manor house . In 1861 he succeeded his uncle Prince Joseph zu Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck as heir to the Dycker Majorate .

He remained unmarried and died on August 2, 1888, in a fit of melancholy . With him, the Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck line became extinct and was inherited by the Salm-Reifferscheidt-Krautheim line. The next relative in the 6th degree was Leopold Karl Maria (1833-1893), Prince and old count of Salm-Reifferscheidt-Krautheim.
