Ali Brakchi

Ali Brakchi (born February 26, 1934 in Sidi Aïch , Bejaia ) is a former French high jumper .

At the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm in 1958 , he was fifth. In 1959 he won bronze at the Universiade and won the Mediterranean Games .

At the Olympic Games in 1962 he was eliminated from the qualification, and at the EM in 1962 in Belgrade, he was eighth.

He then started for Algeria and won the GANEFO in 1963.

From 1965 he started again for France. At the EM in 1966 in Budapest, he came in 13th place.

In 1957, 1960, 1962 (with the national record of 7.75 m) and 1966 he became French champion. He set his personal best of 7.91 m on April 18, 1963 in Dakar .
