Alistair "Ali" Coote (born June 11, 1998 in Bedford ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with Brentford FC .

Career

Ali Coote was born in Bedford, England. However, he grew up in Newport-on-Tay , Scotland , and attended St. John's High School in Dundee . He started his career at Tayport Thistle before moving to the Dundee United Academy. In June 2014 he signed his first professional contract with the Tangerines . On April 18, 2015, the then 16-year-old Coote made his professional debut against FC Aberdeen . Later in the season he was substituted on by his coach Jackie McNamara in the league games against Celtic Glasgow and in the Dundee Derby against FC Dundee . In January 2016 Coote was awarded to the Scottish fourth division club FC East Fife . With two goals in six league games, he helped the Fifers to rise to the third division. After his return he won the Challenge Cup with United in 2017 in the final against FC St. Mirren .
