The Scottish League Two was played in 2015/16 for the third time as the fourth highest football division of men in Scotland . The league is officially played as Ladbrokes Scottish League Two . The league is one of the four leagues in the Scottish Football League after the Premiership , Championship and League One . Which is followed League Two from local leagues, the Highland and Lowland Football League . The season was managed by the Scottish Football Association and began on August 8, 2015. The season ended with the 36th matchday on April 30, 2016.

In the 2015/16 season, ten clubs competed against each other in a total of 36 match days. Each team plays twice at home and twice against every other team. As relegated from last year's League One , Stirling Albion came to League Two . At the end of the season there were relegation games between the last placed in League Two and the two winners from the Highland and Lowland Football League.

On the 34th matchday, FC East Fife secured the championship and promotion to the third division with a goalless draw against FC Clyde . Elgin City , FC Clyde, as well as FC Queen's Park reached the promotion relegation . Queen's Park secured promotion to League One. The FC East Stirlingshire entered the relegation relegation . In this East Stirlingshire lost to Edinburgh City , so that the club was relegated from the Scottish Football League after 61 years . The top scorer was Nathan Austin of East Fife FC with 22 goals .

Relegation

Participants in the relegation games were the tenth place in this year's League Two, East Stirlingshire FC and the two champions from the Highland and Lowland Football League , Edinburgh City and the Cove Rangers . The winner of the first round played in the second round against the League Two club for a place for the following Scottish League Two season 2016/17 .
