The Scottish Football League Third Division was held for the 13th time under this name in 2006/07 . It was also the thirteenth edition of the Third Division as only fourth highest Scottish league . In the fourth-highest division of men's football in Scotland , 10 clubs competed against each other in a total of 36 matchdays in the 2006/07 season. Each team played four times against each other. In the event of a tie, the goal difference counted before the direct comparison.

The championship won the Berwick Rangers , who thus secured the promotion and participation in the Second Division season 2007/08 . On the ascent play-offs of taking FC Arbroath , FC Queen's Park and FC East Fife part. The Spiders from Queen's Park were able to prevail in the relegation, which also promoted them to the Second Division. The top scorer with 18 goals went to Scott Chaplain of Albion Rovers and Martin Johnston of Elgin City .
