The Scottish Football League Third Division was held under this name for the 17th time in 2010/11 . It was also the seventeenth edition of the Third Division as only fourth highest Scottish league . In the fourth-highest division of men's football in Scotland , 10 clubs competed against each other in a total of 36 matchdays in the 2010/11 season. Each team played four times against each other. In the event of a tie, the goal difference counted before the direct comparison.
The championship was won by FC Arbroath , which secured promotion and participation in the 2011/12 Second Division season . On the ascent play-offs which took Albion Rovers , the FC Queen's Park and Annan Athletic in part. In the relegation, the Rovers prevailed and rose next to Arbroath. The top scorer with 21 goals was Gavin Swankie from FC Arbroath.
