The Cove Rangers Football Club is a Scottish football club from Cove Bay , a district of Aberdeen . The association was founded in 1922. The first team plays their home games in the 2,300-seat Allan Park and is currently playing in League Two . The club's greatest successes include five championships in the Highland Football League and numerous appearances in the Scottish FA Cup .

history

The club was founded in Cove Bay in 1922 . Shortly after it was founded, the club joined the Aberdeen Juvenile League . In 1947, the Rangers were one of the founding clubs of the Aberdeen Amateur Football Association . A year later, the club bought a piece of land from a local farmer named Allan on which the Rangers will build their home stadium, Allan Park. From 1986 the club was a member of the Highland Football League. In 1990 the club first took part in the Scottish FA Cup . There the Rangers lost to Queen of the South in the first round . A cup season later, the club reached the 3rd round. In the following years the club reached the third round two more times. In 2001, the Rangers won the Highland Football League, the greatest success in the club's history by then. In the Cup season 2015/16 the first time the fourth round has been reached. In the 2018/19 season, the Rangers won the Highland League again and prevailed in the relegation against the Berwick Rangers . In the 2019/20 season, the club will play for the first time in its history in League Two and for the first time in one of the Scottish professional leagues .
