Alice Mills

Alice Mills (born May 23, 1986 in Brisbane ) is an Australian swimmer .

She specializes in the short freestyle , butterfly and medley courses . She lives and trains in Canberra .

She won her first gold medal with the Australian 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester . At the 2003 World Championships in Barcelona , she won three silver medals in the 50 m freestyle, 200 m medley and with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay, as well as a bronze medal with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. The following year she was Olympic champion in a new world record time at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay and received another gold medal for her preliminary use in the 4 × 100 m individual medley relay. At the 2005 World Championships in Montreal and at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne , she again won gold in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , Mills won the bronze medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay.
