The Alicurá Dam (Spanish: Embalse de Alicura ) is a total of five dams on the Limay River in northwestern Patagonia in the Argentine provinces of Rio Negro and Neuquen (the Comahue region), about 100 km from the town of San Carlos de Bariloche away . The water level is about 705 m above sea level.

The dam was inaugurated in 1985. It is primarily used to generate electricity. In addition, salmonids and other fish are raised in the reservoir . The reservoir has an area of ​​67.5 square kilometers and an average depth of 48.4 m (maximum 110 m). The storage volume is 3267 billion cubic meters . According to another source (see below) it is 3215 million cubic meters.

The barrier structure is an earth and stone embankment dam .
