The district of San Jerónimo is one of the 23 Peruvian districts that make up the province of Luya in the Amazon region. The district has an area of ​​214.66 km². The population was 633 in the 2017 census.

Geographical location

It borders in the northeast with the province of Bongará , in the southeast with the district of San Cristóbal , in the west with the district Santa Catalina and in the northwest with the province Utcubamba .

San Jerónimo was founded as a district on February 5, 1861. The district capital is the village of Paclas. The village festival of Paclas is celebrated on August 5th.
