The Lámud district is located in the Luya Province in the Amazonas region in northern Peru . The district has an area of 69.49 km². In the 2017 census, the population was 2227. In Lámud , in addition to the district administration, there is also the provincial administration of Luya.
The village festival in the district capital Lámud is celebrated on September 14th. The "Señor de Gualamita" is celebrated, who is very revered by the local population.
Geographical location
Lámud is located in the high Andes . In the north, the Lámud district borders on the San Cristobal district , in the northeast on the Valera district , in the southeast with the Huancas and Luya districts and in the southwest on the Trita district .
