The Lonya Chico district is located in the Luya province of the Amazonas region in northern Peru . The district has an area of 83.82 km². The district was officially established on February 5, 1861 and had a population of 842 at the 2017 census. The district administration is located in Lonya Chico. The village festival is celebrated on the day of St. Lucia, August 15th.
Geographical location
Lonya Chico borders in the north on the district Luya , in the southeast on the province Chachapoyas , in the south on the district Inguilpata , in the west on the district Ocallí and in the northwest on the district Conila .
