The Santa Catalina district is one of the 23 Peruvian districts that make up the Luya Province . The district has an area of ​​126.21 km². The population was 1888 at the 2017 census.

Geographical location

Santa Catalina borders in the north on the district of San Jerónimo , in the east on the district San Cristóbal , in the south-west on the district Luya Viejo and in the west on the district Conila .

The district was officially established on November 7, 1955. The district administration is located in the village of Santa Catalina . The village festival is celebrated on August 20th.
