Alina Pätz (born March 8, 1990 in Urdorf ) is a curler from Switzerland .
biography
She has been playing curling since 1997. She celebrated her first international success at the side of Sven Michel as world champion at the Curling Mixed Doubles World Championship 2011 in Saint Paul .
After winning the gold medal at the Curling World Championship in Lethbridge in 2012 , as a substitute in Mirjam Ott's team , she became world champion at the Curling World Championship 2015 in Sapporo as the skip of her own team (with Nicole Schwägli , Marisa Winkelhausen and Nadine Lehmann ). She was also a substitute for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , also in the Ott team.
After missing qualifications for the 2018 Winter Olympics and the 2018 World Cup , the Pätz team broke up. Alina Pätz plays fourth in Silvana Tirinzoni's team in the 2018/19 season . With this team she won the silver medal at the European Championships 2018 after a final defeat against the Swedes around Anna Hasselborg . The revenge was achieved at the 2019 World Cup : the Swedish curlers were defeated 8: 7 in the final, which meant the world championship title.
