Aline Champion
Aline Champion (born July 31, 1971 in Geneva ) is a Swiss violinist .
She started playing the violin at the age of five . At the age of twelve she was accepted as the youngest student to date at the Geneva Conservatory . There she was tutored by Tibor Varga , Pierre Amoyal and Yehudi Menuhin . In the same year she also made her solo debut at Victoria Hall . Since then she has appeared regularly as a soloist and chamber musician . In 1994 she completed her soloist diploma in Utrecht . In 1998 she became concert master of the WDR Symphony Orchestra in Cologne.
Aline Champion has been a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker since 2000 . In 2005 she received an honorary professorship at the Shanghai Conservatory .
