Aljažev dom in the Vrata Valley ( Slovenian Aljažev dom v Vratih ; 1015  m. I. J. ) is a refuge of the Slovenian Alpine Association near the Triglav Bistrica River in the upper Vrata Valley in the Triglav National Park . The pastor and composer of Dovje, Jakob Aljaž (1845–1927), built the first hut in the Vrata Valley in 1896, and a larger one in 1904; In 1908 it was destroyed by an avalanche, which is why the current house was built in a safer place in 1910. Nearby there is a memorial chapel and a monument to the mountaineers who fell in World War II in the form of a large climbing hook with a carbine. The mountains Triglav , Škrlatica and Cmir can be climbed from the hut .
