All England 1947
The All England in 1947 in badminton were held from 3 to 8 March 1947 in London instead. They were the 37th edition of this event. For the first time, the venue was the Harringay Arena . The two Indian participants Nath and Mohan met in the quarter-finals. To save themselves for the next round, they let a coin toss decide the victory between them. Nath won this as well as the following semi-final, but was lost in the final against Jepsen, among other things because he heard of armed unrest in his hometown of Lahore on the morning of the final day.
