The All Star Band was a band in the GDR . The band was put together by Panta Rhei manager Udo Jacob in connection with the World Festival in East Berlin in 1973 .
history
The band consisted of numerous well-known GDR jazz musicians, for example from the Panta Rhei groups, the Günther Fischer Quartet and the Klaus Lenz Band . In addition to the participating musicians' own titles, the All Star Band also played popular international jazz classics. The formation went on tour exclusively in 1973 and then disbanded again due to the obligations in the original bands of the musicians. The concert program was moderated by Uwe Koch, the spokesman for the band Panta Rhei, among others. In addition, the actor Pat Friedrich performed poetry and short stories.
