The homosexual music teacher Maarten and his sister Molly have a special relationship. When her parents died, Maarten, with the help of his best friend Reina, took over the raising of his little sister. One day Molly declares that she wants to move in with her boyfriend Teun. Maarten then suffers from Empty Nest Syndrome .

Maarten meets Arthur, who struggles with his homosexuality. Teun is cheating , whereupon Molly cheats on him with the vet Melvin. She becomes pregnant, but doesn't know who the father is and doesn't want to know either. Teun breaks off contact with her.

Molly gets breast cancer and moves back in with Maarten. She has a healthy son, Finn. Maarten promises to raise him. Teun only shows up after Molly's death.

Awards and nominations

At the Lesbian-Gay Film Days Hamburg 2012, the film won the “Globola” audience award. At the Dutch Film Festival 2011 Lineke Rijxman was nominated for a Golden Calf in the category Best Supporting Actress.
