The Allen Peak is a 1,880 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworth Land . It rises 8 km west of Mount Wyatt Earp and forms the northern end of the main ridge of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
The American polar explorer Lincoln Ellsworth discovered the mountain during his transantarctic flight on November 23, 1935. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after Robert J. Allen Jr., a cartographer specializing in Antarctica between 1950 and 1979 and later advisor to the United States Geological Survey who helped create a map of the area around the mountain in 1962.
