The Alley Spur is a 870 m high rock spur in Queen Elizabeth Land in West Antarctica . It rises in the Pensacola Mountains on the north side of the Dufek massif immediately south of the Sapp Rocks .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1956 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Captain Dalton E. Alley (1923-1992), navigator of the United States Air Force and Member of the United States Air Force Electronics Test Unit in the Pensacola Mountains from 1957 to 1958.
