Volker Hasso Duschner (born October 12, 1945 in Munich ) is a former German fencer and teacher.

Athletic career

Showerner was u. a. active in Königsbacher SC Koblenz . In 1966 he was junior master in the men's saber. He took part in the Olympic Games as a saber fencer in 1968 and 1972 and came in 7th and 6th place with the West German team. At the German fencing championships in 1969 and 1971-1973 he was third, in 1970 and 1974 he was runner-up.

At the German senior championships (age group M40) he won the gold medal for the Tauberbischofsheim fencing club in 1987.

Life

Duschner completed a teaching degree in sports and geography at the University of Bonn from 1969 to 1978 . After his legal clerkship in Koblenz , from 1980 he taught at the Rheingymnasium in Sinzig , at the Archbishop's Franciscan High School in Bonn and at the Dietrich Bonhoeffer High School in Wertheim from 1981 to 1982, before moving to the Matthias Grünewald High School in Tauberbischofsheim in the 1982/83 school year . In 1993 he was appointed senior teacher . In Tauberbischofsheim, Duschner taught until he retired in 2009.
