Alloclita deprinsi is a butterfly ( moth ) from the family of cosmopterigidae (Cosmopterigidae).

features

The moths reach a wingspan of 11 to 13 millimeters. The head and forehead ( frons ) are white. The vertex and the tuft of the neck shimmer ocher white and are dark brown on the side. The patagia (paired structure on the pronotum , which covers the base of the fore wings) are dorsally ocher-colored white and laterally dark brown. The antennae are curled gray-brown and dark. The basal phalanx ( scapus ) is dark brown and has an apical white ring. The first segment of the labial palps is roughly scaled , dark brown on the outside and white on the inside. The second segment has dark brown basal and subapical rings that are widest ventrally. The rings can occasionally be interrupted on the inside. The third segment is ocher white and has basal and subapical rings and ocher spots. The thorax is ocher white and speckled with reddish brown and dark gray scales. The tegulae are black-brown in front and white ocher behind. The front legs and the middle legs are blackish brown. The hind legs have white femora , the tibiae and tarsi are gray. The tibia of all legs have subbasal, medial and apical rings, the tarsi of all legs have basal and apical rings on the first segment. All other segments have white rings, the spurs are ocher white.

The forewings shine gray and have a slanting inward band at 1/5 of the forewing length. At 2/5 of the forewing length there is a white spot on the Costa loader, a large, similar spot is at 3/4 of the forewing length. A white dorsal spot lies opposite the first costal spot and sometimes fuses with the white band on the inner wing edge. Inner angle and wing tip show more white spots. A black-brown spot is located on the base of the wing above the anal fold. The wing base and the inside of the white band are edged with reddish brown and blackish brown scales. The outer edge of the bandage consists of ocher, reddish brown and blackish brown scales. The outer sides of the first costal and dorsal spots and the inner sides of the second costal and dorsal spots are bordered by equally colored scales. In the middle of the wing there are two black-brown spots, the first is in front of the wing half, the second at 2/3 of the fore wing length. Both spots are outlined in ocher white and reddish brown. The fringed scales are tinted gray and ocher. At the apex they are strongly mixed with dark gray scales. A dark gray hemline runs along the inner edge of the wing. The hind wings are gray and have ocher-colored fringed scales. The abdomen is yellow to ocher and a little lighter ventrally . The anal tuft is white.

In the males, the left brachium is significantly longer than the tegumen . It is slender, curved at right angles distally , and has a pointed apex. The right brachium is narrow at the base and widens slightly towards the middle. Distally, it tapers to a rounded tip. The tegumen is square and widened distally. The valvellae are slender and straight. The blades are slender and spatulate. They have a broad base and a rounded tip. The aedeagus is slender and slightly pointed distally.

The female genital fittings are unknown.
