Almut Glinin

Almut Glinin (* 1954 in Bremen ) is a German artist.

biography

Glinin attended the Free Art School in Stuttgart from 1974 to 1978 , where she received her basic artistic training in drawing, printmaking, sculpture and photography from Gerd Neisser , before studying painting at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1978 to 1984 in KRH Sonderborg completed. She has been working as a freelance artist in the field of visual art since 1985, and since 1995 cross-media visual installations and interventions have been the focus of her work. She received several grants , including a 1985 working grant from the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation and a 1989 grant from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science and Art. Her work has been shown in several group and solo exhibitions since the 1980s, including in the Städtische Galerie Ostfildern, the Kunstverein Böblingen , the Denkendorf Monastery , as part of the New Art in the Hagenbucher in Heilbronn and in 2009 in several locations in Dessau . Several of her works are in public ownership. In 2008 she was awarded the GEDOK Dr. Theobald Simon Prize.

From 1995 to 2008 she was a lecturer at the Free Art Academy Nürtingen , where she was also a member of the board for a time. Since 1996 she has been a lecturer at the Nürtingen University of Art Therapy in the art department.
