Alois Beranek

Alois Beranek (born January 15, 1900 in Vienna ; † May 22, 1983 ) was an Austrian football referee .

Alois Beranek was a regular player at ASV Hertha Wien during his active time as an outside runner between 1927 and 1929 , who was playing in the I. League at that time . He then became a referee, regularly leading games in the highest Austrian league from 1930 to 1954 and the 1946 cup final . Alois Beranek soon became an internationally sought-after man, leading 22 international matches , 11 Mitropacup games and taking part in the 1934 , 1938 and 1950 world championships. In 1955/56 he was also in charge of SK Rapid Wien as a coach from January to March 1956 , which became Austrian champions that season .
