meaning

The Lohnerhof in Vienna 9

Sallatmeyer's apartment buildings were planned strictly symmetrically. He liked to emphasize his facades with striking portals , such as B. in the Lohner-Hof in the Pramergasse through a high arched portal, above which he placed a bust (possibly the client, Franz Lohner) and a horse's head as a reference to the riding school in the backyard.
