Alphonse Gilliot
Alphonse Gilliot (born June 20, 1849 in Erstein , † July 12, 1927 in Strasbourg ) was an Alsatian Catholic politician ( center ).
Alphonse Gilliot was a brickworks owner. As the elected mayor of Rheinau , he was suspended by the government in 1887. In 1895 he was elected to the regional committee of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine in the Erstein district. In the elections to the Landtag of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine in 1911 he was elected to the second chamber of the Landtag for the constituency of Erstein-Benfeld, to which he belonged until 1918 for the center.
In 1908 he was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle .
