Alpine Metal Tech (AMT) is an Austrian manufacturer of machines for the steel and aluminum industry. It is a subsidiary of Montana Tech Components AG, which was founded by Michael Tojner in 2006 to take over hidden champions .
AMT goes back to the MNI group, which Global Equity Partners has held since 2004, which emerged from the Danish Magnemag A / S and the Austrian Numtec Interstahl GmbH. In 2007 it became the property of Montana Tech Components.
Alpine Metal Tech took over Makra in 2012, Knorr in 2013 and GeGa in 2014.
