Functions

The rescuers of the ARS perform the following functions:

  • Specialist helicopter: Supports the rescue workers in areas that are difficult to access. Assess and secure alpine dangers for Rega crews. In the lowlands, these specialists support the fire brigade and Rega with complicated rescues.
  • Specialist dog: Use of search dogs, either in the case of avalanche accidents or when looking for missing persons in impassable terrain.
