History and description
The old village mill was built in 1565 by Philipp von Renzdorf. The grain mill on the Modau was the closest mill in Eberstadt to the old village center. A mill wing with no cellar and a two-story building along the mill ditch , which originally had a residential wing and vaulted cellar, are still preserved from the old mill . The overshot mill wheel no longer exists today.
Monument protection
Today the mill is used exclusively for residential purposes. For architectural, industrial and urban history reasons, the building is a cultural monument .
