The building at Alte Herrenhäuser Straße 8 in Hanover is a former so-called “Bauspännerstall”. The former stable building as an annex to Herrenhausen Castle was also the "servants' house" for the staff of the Herrenhausen Stud . The half-timbered house set back from the street between the - older - page house from 1707/08 and the Hardenberg house is part of this listed building group and is now used as a residential building .

A wrought iron lattice that was erected in the middle of the 18th century and was later moved to the Leibnizhaus was found between the builders' stable and the page house .
