The Altenberg ( 516 m above sea level. NN a barely forested basalt knoll near the town of Seußen in the Fichtelgebirge .
) isgeography
The Altenberg is a secondary peak of the Elmberg around two kilometers northwest of it. The district road WUN 14 / TIR 19 runs north of the summit and leads to Korbersdorf or to the state road St 2176 . Together with the Feisnitz, it separates the Reichsforst , the location of the Altenberg, from the Kohlwald . Near the summit is the hamlet of Trögerhäuser and to the west of it the Seußen districts of Niebitz and Altenberg.
